I continually get script errors when I am uploading data from the GPS trip recorder. It makes it difficult to do anything with the software. How can I fix this problem?

I've checked the official website and it appears that GPS Photo Tagger is available in multiple versions which means that you should download the one you need for your device. Unfortunately, this is the only thing I can recommend since the official website doesn't provide anything else related to troubleshooting and manuals.

If you like, then you can contact the developers through the following email as well: [email protected]

It doesn't work anymore. Map is not displayed and it says "mapmain undefined". What's the problem ? At start up the script prompts: 'mapmain undefined' and 'initlayout undefined', but there are no maps and no tracks!

These errors are related to the files corruption. In this case, the only thing to do is to reinstall the software. When mapmain undefined is encountered, it means the software needs a module and can't access it. This is due to the usage of another function of the software. Before activating that option, make sure to define the map. The second one is probably caused by file corruption. A simple reinstallation should fix them.

First, when I purchased the GPS Photo Tagger I was able to use it but later I was informed that Google Maps need a new API key. I try to install a new key, but still cannot use the program. How to return to a previous state of the program?

To run the application, you need to install the latest updates available. Downgrading to a previous versions will not make the application function. Visit the product's official website an download the latest updates. After you did this, try to use the program again. Your problem should be fixed.

When I start my old version of GPS Photo Tagger, I get an error message saying "Not valid Google API key". Now, I have just downloaded and installed: GPS Photo Tagger Version 1.2.4, from the gpsPhotoTagger_install_sja_pro.exe file, but when I enter the "Product Key" from my old version, I get a "Wrong product key". What can I do?

Hi, I have the same problem.
The old version does no longer work with Google Maps (wrong licence) and this version does not accept my product code.
Can anybody reach the ITravel Tech support (ITravel Tech seems to be the designer of this product)?

Check help/online support to get into the manufacturer's web page to download new version. You might also be able to download it directy from the explorer menu.

Photo Tagger (data logger) cannot be used because the vertical bars that I have to enter as part of the product key give ´Wrong product key´ as result. What can I do?

Answer by Robert Polubinski

Try to enter the key without the dashes. Alternatively, contact the software developers at [email protected] and explain the situation. It's possible that the serial key is not usable anymore.

I created a .kmz file with GPS Photo Tagger 1.2. When I start Google Earth in order to see my trip and the pics, I clicked the icons, but I can't see the photos. In the explorer I can see the name for the pictures (dic1000.jpg). What can I do?

Answer by Dan Angel

Unfortunately, GPS Photo Tagger is not working anymore with Google Earth because it is not authorized to use the Google Maps API. In order to add your pictures on Google Earth, I suggest you follow the instructions from Google Support page. Also, you can try using Panoramio.

How do you remove a place mark? The user manual describes how to create one, but not how to delete one.

A
Answer by Aiden McLeod

Place markers are added automatically when you add a picture to the program. To remove one, simply hover the mouse cursor over it. By doing this, a remove button should appear near the cursor. To remove the place marker, press the button. Also, you can do this by selecting a marker, right click on it and select Remove selected item. You can use any method you want.
